Super Sevins

For the past 4 years we have made an annual apple picking trip with the Schwinns to Russell Farm in Ipswich MA.  We started going there when we lived in Salem but now that both of us live in NH now we found a new orchard to go to.  We found Apple Acres in Windham that was much quieter than the ever touristy Mack's in Londonderry.  It was a great place and most importantly they have freshly made apple cider doughnuts! Russell's had these as well and we simply cannot have our annual trip without them!

We picked 18 lbs of apples. Yeah, I know. It's a little insane. I still have a lot of baking to do.  The kids were  quick to fill the bag though! I just love Cortlands. I don't eat them any other time of year except when we pick them and they are just so yummy!

Looks like such a fun day! I can't believe how many apples you got! Although as we brought up our last apples from the basement yesterday I am thinking now we need to go again! Guess we should've got that many!

I need to try out that orchard. There is nothing like fresh donuts.. I agree they just aren't the same cooled off!

Did you see Christmas trees there? I heard you can cut your own there which would be fabulous so that we didn't have to travel to where we normally go.. I'll have to call.
