Today is the defining holiday in my Christian faith. In Luke 24: 6, the angels tell the women coming to Jesus' tomb, "He is not here; he has risen!" It is a wonderous and amazing event that I believe with all of my being. I thank God every day for this.
Easter was great. We started out the day with a trail of candy leading down our stairs and to the Easter baskets! I love to hear Cole surprised and excited like he was. We had a small Easter egg hunt and then a big breakfast! Gotta love Paula Dean. I found this scrumptous french toast cassarole that was just out of this world yummy.
We went to a new church. (The church we were attending for months turned out to be not so great but that is a story for another day.) The service was good- we'll try it again before making a decision.
Then my parents and Jay and Kerry came over. Fun!! We had a wonderful time with them and Cole got to watch Tiger Woods play while watching The Masters with Grandpa and Jay. I even admit to loving watching this tournament. I grew up in a golf family- and the "ping" of the club hitting the ball is still one of the greatest sounds to me. I long to play again some day!
Anywho- we had a great feast for dinner. Prime rib a la Tyler Florence, and many other sides from recipes from my friends at the Food Network. I don't like peas but Brendan does so I found a recipe for peas with garlic, parsley, prosciutto, and shallots. It was actually good!
Both Cole and Charlotte had a great day filled with lots of chocolate, love, and family!
Here is a photo of Easter last year and one of this year, plus a really great one of the whole gang! And because there are so many great photos, enjoy the slideshow set to Vivaldi's The Four Seasons: Spring!

Happy Easter! Looks like you and the family had a wonderful day.
I really love the group shot you took! The slide show is great as well--perfect music. It's amazing to see how much both Cole & Charlotte have grown from last year to this year!
Happy Easter!!
